The Senior School takes boys from the ages of 11+ to 16+, with a selective single form entry and classes of 15 boys on average. The standards we aim to achieve are summed up by: 'God first, others second, self last' our School Motto. We work in a firm and friendly atmosphere believing that boys need close direction to reach the best standard each one can attain. However, initiative and a chance to take part are both encouraged, in class discussions, drama, school assemblies, prefects' systems, various clubs and school journeys. A full range of GCSEs is taught, each boy entering for at least 8 subjects. Science and computing are taught in new laboratories. An Art and Technology Wing (opened 1991) provides excellent facilities for art, music, science, woodwork, C.D.T. in modern surroundings with new equipment. Soccer, rugby, athletics, cricket, hockey, cross-country, tennis and swimming are afforded an important place with excellent facilities on nearby grounds and matches played against other schools at all levels. Accredited by the Independent Schools Joint Council.
